This consumer health lecture series will provide you with tools to use to efficiently navigate the health care system. Many topics will be covered in this lecture series,  and you will also be given tips on how to effectively communicate with health care professionals.

The Third Session will cover the following: Health information patient protection act (HIPPA), Patient’s Bill of Rights, Informed Consent, Patient’s Responsibilities, and The Four Elements of Malpractice.

Disease prevention is foremost in everyone’s thinking, and the final session of this series will give us information on how we can be and stay well.  Covered is: screening practices and timelines, medical record keeping, wellness practices, health care providers focused on prevention, and behavior change (diet, exercise, and mental health).

Each combined session is 2 hours long, and will provide you with the information you will need to make informed choices for your health care.   Sessions 3 & 4 are on June 27, from 10am – 12pm. They can be signed up for individually.

Please register for either or both sessions online.   Then we will be able to have a count of participants in order to have enough room for all.  A suggested donation for each valuable session is $10, payable at the door.
