STOP THE BLEED

This class is all about bleeding control for massive hemorrhage.  It is a national initiative from the American College of Surgeons to help all members of the community be able to help each other in case of a bleeding emergency.  Topics covered will include a short power point presentation and lots of hands on skills practice:

  • Identifying life threatening bleeding
  • Calling 911
  • Commercial tourniquet
  • Wound packing
  • Makeshift aids

This class will be presented by an HonorHealth Trauma Services paramedic.  The presenter is a 38 year veteran of emergency medical services, a 25 year fire department special operations veteran.  He is currently resides within the Trauma Outreach/Injury Prevention division at the Military Partnership.

This class will take place on Wednesday, June 8, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.  Please register below so that we have a count of participants. $10 suggested donation at the door.
