The process of determining who will fill the role of the nation’s highest office, the Presidency, has at times been quite controversial.  The process is not as simple as “one person – one vote”, as each state is allowed to set its own processes for each election and is responsible to certify the person chosen by that state.  We will examine the election process including the Electoral College, state certification processes, and the role of the federal government is the Presidential election process.
