Make two clay birds to perch in your home or patio. In this two-day class you’ll learn to use clay and gourds to design two birds. Get creative using tools, paint seals, and techniques to create whimsical birds. Then build their roosting cholla perch. These whimsical characters will make you smile each time you look at them.
FORMAT: In-person classroom. This is a two-day class, March 13 and 14.

INSTRUCTOR Bio: Darlene has lived in the Southwest United States for over 35 years and weaves the wide range of desert materials into her art. From gourds to desert clay, she transforms these materials into beautiful and even whimsical canvases and tabletop art pieces. She’s a member of the Sonoran Art League, AZGS/Arizona Gourd Society, AGS/American Gourd Society, West Brook Fine Arts, Arizona Art Alliance Gallery, and the Gourd Gypsies Patch.
