Create 3 different gourds that will add festive flair to your holidays. Use to decorate your home or gift to a friend. Instructor provides all materials, including acrylic paints to create similar designs in photos.
Start with choosing your black, turquoise bread, white, or natural gourd pre-colored ornaments. Then choose from plenty of southwest designs using acrylic paints to decorate your gourdornaments.
If you want to wood burn designs on your gourd, you need to bring your own wood burning tools. All burning must be done outside. Then after, you can bring the piece in to finish and color. This is a fun class. Gourdornaments make great gifts for your partner at bunco or the tie on a wine bottle to take to a Christmas party.

WHAT TO BRING:
Please wear an apron or old clothes. Bring a snack drink or lunch. If you choose to Woodburn, you will have to bring your own Woodburner. As I teach this with acrylic paints. But I will allow those of you than wish to burn on the natural color gourds. To do so outside only.

Having lived in the Southwest United States for over 35 years, I have long enjoyed experimenting with a wide range of desert materials in my work shop. From gourds to desert clay, I’ve found ways to turn these materials into beautiful and even whimsical canvases and I’ve enjoyed ever part of it.
For years, my son and husband have seen me create artwork that has made them proud and finally after all of their encouragement and rave reviews from many satisfied customers, I’ve decided to harness this passion and my talent to bring my art to a wider audience.
