Larry Charles’ morning class filled up very quickly, so he has graciously offered to add another identical class on Tuesday afternoons. The class will be from 1:30 – 4:30.
This four-session workshop introduces beginners to the joys of painting desert landscapes. We live in a beautiful place. Why not preserve it!
Art instructor, Larry Charles, will teach both acrylic painting and oil painting techniques at the Holland Center Art Studio. Working from photographs, each session in January will include a demonstration by Larry, followed by step-by-step guidance for you on how to create perspective, how to paint realistic shadows, how to mix lifelike colors, how to compose a landscape picture, etc.
Expect to finish at least one completed painting during each session. (There will also be mini-sketches for practicing color values and cactus shapes.)
You will also learn how to pack a travel kit and what type of brushes and paint solvents to use.
And, unique to any art school in the Valley, this beginner’s workshop includes all the art supplies you will be using in the class, in the registration fee!
Tuesday afternoons, 1:30 – 4:30 pm, on January 4, 11, 18, and 25. Class fee (which includes art supplies) is $250. You just have to show up!
