In just 4 weeks, feel confident having basic conversations in Spanish regarding greeting neighbors and talking about everyday activities.
Come and learn conversational Spanish in a small group setting, with interactive activities and individual learning opportunities between classes. Start with the basics such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, household objects, and family members. Then, from this foundation, begin to have simple conversations in Spanish such as common phrases for everyday activities like shopping, wellness, and daily routines.
Receive individual support from the teacher between classes, via opportunities for one-on-one, 30 minute Zoom calls during the 4-week course. If a student is not familiar with Zoom, WhatsApp video calls are available.

This course is designed to introduce adults and seniors to the basics of the Spanish language, with a focus on practical communication skills to feel confident talking in Spanish with friends, neighbors and co-workers.
After completing Spanish 100, students have the opportunity to advance to the Spanish 200 course that includes conversational Spanish for travel, leisure activities, cultural/social activities, and practical conversations that will prompt you to speak with any native Spanish-speaker and have meaningful short conversations in a clear and knowledgeable way.

Yanette has over 23 years of national and international language experience. From translating and interpreting in the mining and engineering industry in Chile, to diving deep into the educational field in the United States. Yanette’s background as an English into Spanish Simultaneous Interpreter and Translator, as well as teaching Spanish in Secondary and Higher Education, have given her a tremendous satisfaction and joy. At the same time, that has equipped her with the necessary tools to support and serve as a bridge for a mutual understanding among English and Spanish speakers from a diverse professional, and cultural background. Living and working abroad [Chile, Brazil, and Australia], have provided her with a cultural sensitivity, understanding, and knowledge to help others where there is a language need.
