Join us for a fun, fast-paced, 2-day, multiplication and division extravaganza! Mary Jo Stewart, who has been tutoring students for over 35 years, brings an enthusiasm for math that is contagious, and learning math in a group setting sets just the right tone. June 7 & 8, 2022, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. $75

Day 1: Students will have the opportunity to commit to memory the multiplication table, especially those facts that may have eluded them in the past.  Mary Jo will build on what the students already know and teach them fun strategies to remember each of the facts up to 12 x 12. During the workshop, they will practice in a follow-along workbook.  They will be challenged to participate aloud and compete against their own speed and accuracy. With fun drills, practice, and review, they will gain confidence and proficiency in the basic multiplication facts that will stay with them for life.

Day 2: This will be a continuation of solidifying the multiplication facts and connecting them to their related fact family division facts. As on Day 1, there will be drilling, practice, interaction, and assessments, so the students can be encouraged and energized by their increased fluidity in the multiplication and division facts.

Please bring a snack each day, to be eaten at the half-way point of the workshop. If you have siblings that would like to take this 2-day workshop, please email Betsy Anderson at: betsy@azfcf.org, and we will work out a $60 payment discount arrangement for each additional student.
