SUMMARY:Art Gallery Exhibit: Across Mediums - thru Nov 25 | 2026
DESCRIPTION:Across Mediums \nYou are invited to a special event celebrating the art of expression\nby our current featured gallery artists\nPamela Fingerhut\, Diane J. Huff\, and Margit Kagerer. \n….. \nDisplayed daily* September 22\, 2026 – November 25\, 2026 at The Holland Gallery of Fine Art \n* Please call The Holland Center at (480) 488-1090\nprior to visiting to confirm viewing availability as days/hours vary based on our programming. \nA portion of art sales proceeds benefits The Holland Center and our non-profit arts & education programming.  \n….. \nReception October 9\, 2026 | 5:00-7:00 pm \n….. \nAbout the Exhibit \nPamela\, Diane\, and Margit all share a deep commitment to creativity and personahollandcenter.org/…/art-gallery-reception-across-medium-with-pamela-fingerhut-diane-j-huff-and-margit-kagererl expression in their artistic work. Each artist draws inspiration from the world around them – whether through photography\, experimentation with materials\, or the patterns and landscapes of everyday life – and transforms those influences into something imaginative and meaningful. Rather than simply reproducing what they see\, all three use art to interpret their experiences in more abstract or expressive ways. In this sense\, they are connected by their desire to explore deeper ideas and emotions through creative expression. \nAbout the Artists \nPamela Fingerhut\nPamela Fingerhut is a digital artist who digitally manipulates her photographs to bring out the visual complexity and psychological depth in each of her images. This process is the result of a lifetime in fine arts and deep reflection on the sometimes “Unreal” nature of the world. Her work is shown nationally and internationally. Most recently her work has been shown at the Jerusalem Biennale in Israel\, and in the 8th Biennial of Fine Art Photography in Barcelona. In the US\, her work was exhibited at the International Center of Photography Education Center in New York City\, the Umbrella Arts Gallery in New Your City\, and at various exhibits in Arizona. \nDiane J. Huff\n“I once read somewhere that most cultures have a word in their vocabulary which defines that event or activity – when Time does not exist. Creativity leads us into the Now where past regrets and future worries are not permitted. Time becomes meaningless in the face of Creativity.” – Fred Babb … When I read this quote\, it put into words something I had always experienced with my art. It gave me great affirmation to know that this was something all artists\, and really anyo9ne who becomes wholly involved in what they are creating\, hope to feel. So\, when I work\, I go to the place that has no Time. ~Diane \nMargit Kagerer\nA Native of Germany\, fiber artist Margit Kager was introduced to the world of quilting and fiber art when she and her husband relocated to the United States. As a retired math teacher\, her interest in geometry led her to admire the patterns found in traditional quilts. Right from the beginning she created her own contemporary designs with geometric patterns. When the couple moved to Arizona\, Margit was attracted by the beauty of the desert. She ‘Painted’ the dramatic Arizona scenery with fabric. Inspiration can come from many sources and working with different fabrics gives her creative freedom\, allowing her to transfer what she sees into a picture or an abstract design.

SUMMARY:Auditions for "Grumpy Old Men" The Musical
DESCRIPTION:MUSICAL THEATER CREATED BY TODAY’S TALENTED ADULT ACTORS\n\n\nOur Signature Program\, Desert Foothills Theater (DFT)\, is looking to cast passionate adult actors who will come together for a hilarious and heartwarming story.  All actors\, regardless of experience level\, are welcome to audition. \nAuditions\, rehearsals and the show performance will be held at The Holland Center. Click HERE for more information and audition sign-ups! \nABOUT THE SHOW\n“GRUMPY OLD MEN” is a hilarious and heartwarming story about two aging neighbors\, Max and John\, who have spent most of their lives locked in a feud. When a beautiful\, eccentric\, and charming woman named Ariel moves in across the street\, both men find themselves vying for her attention\, turning their rivalry into a full-blown comedic battle of wills. As their antics escalate\, the two grumpy old men are forced to confront their differences\, leading to a touching resolution that proves even the most stubborn hearts can change. \nBased on the beloved 1993 film starring Jack Lemmon\, Walter Matthau\, and Ann-Margret\, this stage adaptation captures the lovably crotchety characters through twinkling humor\, catchy songs\, and the affectionate depiction of a small town that feels like home to everyone. “GRUMPY OLD MEN” is a delightful and affectionate celebration of love\, friendship\, and second chances.

Her talks\, which present history through true stories of Arizona musicians from our past\, are often accompanied by master rhythm expert Armand Ramirez (guitar)\, whose rootedness in Hispanic traditions adds historical depth and musical magic. They perform regularly as the duo Wild World Irish Fiddle: https://www.youtube.com/@WildIrishFiddle. \nArmand Ramirez\, guitarist\, is a master multigenre player with decades of professional musicianship\, an amazing ear\, and a creative\, danceable flair.
