SUMMARY:Desert Foothills Theater Presents: "Stung" - April 16-19
DESCRIPTION:A full-length solo biodrama about a real-life con woman! Inspired by the true confessions of Sue Ellen Allen\, this gripping performance tells the story of a Scottsdale educator\, mentor\, master networker\, motivational speaker\, businesswoman\, and convicted felon. From local playwright Andrea Markowitz\, witness the twists\, charm\, and audacity of a life lived boldly\, and illegally. \nScottsdale\, Arizona con woman Sue Ellen Allen steps out of Perryville Prison and into the spotlight\, reborn as a champion of criminal justice reform. Inspired by Sue Ellen’s personal narratives\, her con victim’s recollections\, and other actual events\, STUNG! blurs the lines between performance and testimony\, and between transformation and redemption. Insisting she was innocent of all charges\, Sue Ellen rallies against an inhumane incarceration system that she’s determined to redress. While her prison reform advocacy finds success\, her self-advocacy falters. In her zeal to appear blameless\, she confesses to more than she intends\, leaving her audience to wonder if the suffering she witnessed and endured behind bars ignited a noble new calling\, or just another con. Darkly funny and full of surprises\, STUNG! is a stunning posthumous tell-all from a woman who lived more than one life. \n\n\nShowtimes: \nFriday\, April 17 at 7pm\nSaturday\, April 18 at 2pm and 7pm\nSunday\, April 19 at 2pm\nSpecial VIP Performance\, Thursday April 16th\n\nPurchase tickets HERE

SUMMARY:Magic and Miracles: How to Live in the Quantum
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to live in the quantum\, where all possibilities exist. We are far more powerful than we have been led to believe\, and we all have the ability to create what we want in our lives. The challenge\, however\, is to figure out — or “remember” — how to do that. Learn tools and exercises to get you there from a certified hypnotherapist and civil engineer. \nMichele Guy Syne’s professional and life experiences have led her to the Universal Truth… that Magic and Miracles happen in every moment of every day. There are no ordinary moments. So why is life such a struggle for some of us? It is simple\, but not easy. \nAttend this Workshop and learn tools\, and skills\, and do exercises to allow you to tap into the Magic and Miracles. You will see how ‘simple’ it is. You will also learn why it is not ‘easy’. Here are a few hints: \n\nYou must let go of who you thought you were.\nYou must trust and allow the Universe to do its work.\nYou must let go of control.\n\nAnd this takes Courage! Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is feeling the fear and acting anyway. Come with an open mind and come ready to do some deep work. Michele will challenge your beliefs and open you up to possibilities which you never even knew existed. \n\n\n\n\n\nFORMAT: In-person classroom\n\n\nINSTRUCTION METHOD: Workshop\nAGES: Adults 18+\nEXPERIENCE LEVEL: All skill levels\nPREREQUISITES: None\nWHAT TO BRING: N/A\nFEE: $44.44. SUMMARY:Celebrating 250 Years of America - Jim Sherbert Lecture Series
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating 250 years of America:  A four-part series that will examine the Making of America from the early colonial days through the American Revolution and the writing of the United States Constitution. We will examine the sequential and consequential steps that led to the forming of what would become the United States of America\, the freest and most influential nation to ever exist. \nThe second of this four-part series will review the short timeframe between the French and Indian War and the Declaration of Independence. A series of British authoritarian proclamations negate the freedoms enjoyed by the colonies. Loyal British subjects in America begin to believe they are not viewed by Parliament as full citizens of Great Britain and examine applicable options that include separation from the rule of King George III. \n\nFORMAT: In-Person – classroom\n\n\nINSTRUCTION METHOD: Lecture\nAGES: Adults 18+\, Youth Ages 14-18\nEXPERIENCE LEVEL: All skill levels\nPREREQUISITES: None\nFEE: Thanks to our donors\, there is no charge to attend this event but please kindly RSVP below so we can plan accordingly.
