Unleash your creativity with felted fiber! Using the “wet felting” method, you can make either a trivet, glasses case, or a sculpture with sheep wool and other sustainable fibers. You’ll learn to overlap layers of wool, add soap and water, and then rub & roll the piece until it becomes fabric or “felted”.  As an added benefit, you will walk away with the knowledge of how to replicate this process at home.

INSTRUCTOR NAME: Lucy Huckery
Lucy Huckery makes eco-printed and felted fiber art creations that are both beautiful and functional. Three years ago, she discovered eco printing (botanical contact printing) and began experimenting on paper using leaves, bark, flowers, and seeds she found in nature. When she tried bundling these same botanicals on fabric, a world of possibilities opened up, and she decided to tailor her craft to focus on fiber art. Today, Lucy transforms eco printed fabric and handmade felt into functional items such as trivets, coasters, placemats, purses, table runners, glasses cases, pin cushions, and scarves.
