In four Tuesday workshop sessions, instructor Larry Charles —a nationally-recognized, exhibiting artist and expert instructor—will guide you step-by-step through the techniques of painting people, faces, and moving figures in watercolor. Whether you are a beginner or just want to make your current watercolors more lifelike, Larry’s guidance will help your people pictures look more realistic immediately. Expect to do two watercolors per class.

WHAT TO BRING: You will need to bring a professional quality 24-color watercolor kit by such brands as Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith, or Cotman… three watercolor brushes (#1 Round, #6 Round, 1/2″ Flat)…. and an 11″ x 15″ watercolor pad of cold press 140 lb. paper.
INSTRUCTOR NAME: Larry Charles
Larry has been teaching art at The Holland Center for many years. His professional work is displayed at several touring museum exhibitions, and his commissioned work appears frequently in national magazines and books featuring the top designer homes in New York City. Larry was the worldwide creative director for the largest agency on Madison Avenue for 14 years, and has served as president of the Scottsdale Artists’ School. He frequently lectures and writes articles for international art magazines.
