Thank you to the Town of Cave Creek for selecting The Holland Center to receive a Community Grant—especially in light of the decision being more difficult this time around.
“I must say that all of these organizations submitted exceptional applications – it was not an easy decision,” said Vice Mayor Kathryn Royer. “The five of us around the table had a lot of discussion — in fact two separate meetings to finalize the awards.”
Applications for Community Grants are reviewed with specific criteria: public purpose, community need, priority & impact, administration & financial strength, percentage of request versus total budget, and financial support from the town.

Many communities rely on government to provide services like a community center for its residents. The Holland Center is unique because we fill this gap as a 501(c)(3) organization, relying on our generous donors to sustain. So we are especially appreciative of The Town of Cave Creek’s generosity, and are honored to serve as the community’s anchor for connection and belonging.
