This guided play session is perfect for anyone who has already learned the rules and basics of American Mah Jongg but would like extra support while playing. It’s a relaxed, welcoming, hands-on way to strengthen your skills, ask questions, and build confidence at the table.
Come strategize, socialize, and maybe even call “Mahjong!” Whether you come solo or bring a friend, there’s always a seat waiting for you. Our games are purely social, with no money involved, just the joy of playing together and celebrating every win. We can’t wait to play with you!

INSTRUCTOR: Katie Petrine
With a background in education, Katie makes Mahjong’s patterns and strategies easy to understand through approachable, engaging lessons. Her goal is to create a welcoming space where players of all experience levels can build confidence and enjoy the game through learning and social play. She is also a member of the Mahj Life Instructor Guild (current as of 2025).
