Celebrating 250 years of America: A four-part series that will examine the Making of America from the early colonial days through the American Revolution and the writing of the United States Constitution. We will examine the sequential and consequential steps that led to the forming of what would become the United States of American, the freest and most influential nation to ever exist.
The final segment of this four-part series will examine the post-Revolutionary War struggles of managing America’s independence. Winning the Revolutionary War left America with 13 independent republics and little unity. The lack of a unifying governmental structure was unraveling the success attained by achieving independence from Great Britain. We will examine the post-war collapse of the governing Articles of Confederation and the challenge of building the United States Constitution.
