INSTRUCTOR NAME: Mimi Damraer
(Marian) Mimi Damrauer is an award-winning Scottsdale-based textile artist. She uses her hand-dyed cotton fabrics along with exotic textiles purchased on her world travels to create contemporary, graphic, one-of-a-kind artworks for wall decor. All designs are hand-cut for an organic feel and her newest collections are mainly hand-stitched based on inspiration from trips to Asia. Mimi creates customized bodies of work for corporate and residential interiors. A collaboration with retailer Crate and Barrel resulted in the fall 2008 debut of the best-selling “Sebastian” rug at their retail stores nationwide and internationally via the Crate and Barrel website.
