Each session begins with a step-by-step demonstration, then you’ll paint alongside Charles as he shares insider tips for capturing atmosphere, light, and detail. Learn how to make people, buildings, and landscapes glow with realism and personality while creating two beautiful watercolor scenes per class. Whether you’re new to watercolor or eager to refine your travel art, you’ll gain confidence and skill with every brushstroke.
You will need to bring a professional-quality 24-color watercolor kit by such a brands as Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith, or Cotman… three watercolor brushes (#1 Round, #6 Round, and 1/2″ Flat)… and an 11″ x 15″ watercolor pad of cold press 140 lb. paper.

INSTRUCTOR NAME: Larry Charles
Larry has been teaching art at The Holland Center for many years. His professional work is displayed at several touring museum exhibitions, and his commissioned work appears frequently in national magazines and books featuring the top designer homes in New York City. Larry was the worldwide creative director for the largest agency on Madison Avenue for 14 years, and has served as president of the Scottsdale Artists’ School. He frequently lectures and writes articles for international art magazines.
