Come and hear the intriguing, entertaining  and often hilarious, stories of crimes committed in Scottsdale from 1901 – 1978.  Along the way, we’ll learn a lot of history too: how the mail was first brought from Phoenix to Scottsdale, why a high school football team in Arizona has a has a unique nickname, and what investigative tools were available to the police through history.

This meticulously researched presentation by Scottsdale historian, Bruce Wall, paints an authentic picture of Scottsdale’s criminal history you are sure to enjoy.

As part of our Lifelong Learning Program, the 2023 Spotlight Series includes entertaining lectures designed to “Spotlight” various intriguing topics with the belief that our audience wants to learn for the joy of learning and to share and build community. There are no tests, no papers, no deadlines – but there is something for everyone with an abundance of  engaging content and audience interaction.
