A fun, informative event to meet up close some of your backyard wildlife neighbors. Arizona is home to over 800 species of animals, so it’s not surprising to have encounters with them in our backyard or neighborhood. An educator from Arizona Game and Fish will be bringing live native species to help class participants learn how to identify some of the most commonly seen urban wildlife. Learn easy, effective tips and best practices for those unexpected encounters on a trail or in a backyard in order to avoid conflicts. Meet some of our local wildlife species like hawks, owls, turtles, tarantula, and gila monster. Portion of proceeds supports the feeding of animals at the wildlife center.

Note: due to live wildlife being present, domestic animals are not allowed in the classroom.
