Your North Valley Community Theater
As a community theater, DFT’s mission is to invite theater participation from all members of our community. Whether onstage, backstage, through our classes, as an audience member or as a volunteer, everyone is invited to join in the process of making theater.
From budding young artists to senior citizens, DFT aims to help change lives through the performing arts. We provide training for young artists, helping them learn discipline, self-confidence, how to work collaboratively, and, for those who might want a career in theater, specific skills in dance, acting, and voice. Many of our more mature community members are finding themselves more active in retirement than expected as they pursue new experiences at DFT! And for the many other amazingly talented artists in our community who have not followed performance as a career, we offer a creative outlet that allows them to continue to participate in productions.

Up and Coming
With charm, wit and heart, the live stage production of "You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown" explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and his friends in the Peanuts gang. This bright whirlwind of musical numbers and comedic bits, based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, is the perfect way to rekindle your love for Snoopy, Linus, Sally, Lucy, Schroeder and of course, Charlie Brown! Musical numbers include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” “Suppertime” and “Happiness.” Guaranteed to please audiences of all ages!
Our Signature Program Desert Foothills Theater is setting the stage for some summertime fun! DFT's summer camp provides unique and accessible experiential learning in theatre and performing arts. The program features age-appropriate activities around acting, dance, voice, music, and movement. Add to that arts & crafts, a dance party, and a bunch of new friends, and this camp will make it a summer to remember!
