About the Exhibit

In Jerry Sieve’s opinion, light and its effects, IS a language. However, it is language that, as of now, humans do not even come close to understanding.

Jerry is, essentially a formalist in which the shapes defined by the action of light is expressed. What light is saying is, as of now, is unknown. Possibly…. Jerry’s images will help in defining what is being said.

About the Artist: Jerry Sieve

Birthday: October 6, 1949

Residence: Cave Creek, Arizona

Education: University of Cincinnati | Glendale Community College

Professional Experience:

50 years as a Professional Photographer with over 3000 images published in magazines, calendars, books, cards, 15 book/magazine/calendar covers, 5 coffee table books. Jerry has had 11 covers and over 600 images published in Arizona Highways Magazine.

Teaching Experience:

Jerry has lead over 50 multi-day workshops for the Friends of Arizona Highways in the greater Southwest United States. He has taught photography at Paradise Valley Community College since 2009. He has taught over 1000 students.

Judged 11 photographic competitions, including
Arizona State Fair (2012, 2014, 2016)
Curated the Cave Creek Photo Contest for the last 10 years
Participated in the Fine Art Expo 2004 – 2009
