Get into the festive spirit in this fun, creative fused glass class that’s perfect for any level of experience. Our instructor will provide lots of examples to inspire you as you create your own unique designs. During this class, you will learn about different types of glass, how to cut and layer, and the finished project is fused together. You’ll create up to six larger ornaments or several smaller ones, using colorful sheet glass, vitrigraph, dots, and murrini.
There will be pre-cut base class shapes to choose from or create your own shapes. Ten different templates for popular holiday favorites like gnomes, grinches and penguins will be provided and will be yours to keep. You’re also encouraged to go off-template and make something unique. Kim will guide and help you as you create numerous fun, festive ornaments to gift or keep.
Ornament hangers will be available to add that perfect finishing touch after your pieces are fired. Items completed in class will be kiln-fired and ready for pick up on December 10th.

Kimberly is a kiln-formed glass artist based in Phoenix whose appreciation of glass art blossomed during a visit to Murano, Italy, over a decade ago. Now a retired teacher, she loves blending her love of art and education by offering hands-on classes in fused glass techniques.Whether crafting decorative wall art, whimsical nightlights, or functional dishes, Kimberly embraces the versatility of kiln formed glass as her medium of expression. Her work has been exhibited at venues like The Tubac Center of the Arts, displayed at local farmer’s markets, and is available for purchase at Lula’s Arts, Sweets & More, where she is happy to be part of the vibrant, supportive community of artists and customers.
