Madagascar – A Musical Adventure KIDS is an upbeat, family-friendly stage adaptation of the hit DreamWorks animated movie. It follows a crew of Central Park Zoo animals who accidentally end up on the wild island of Madagascar and must learn the value of friendship and teamwork.
The story centers on Alex the Lion, the beloved king of the urban jungle at the New York’s Central Park Zoo. When his best friend, Marty the Zebra, suffers a mid-life crisis and escapes the zoo to explore the wild with the help of some plotting penguins, Alex and his friends (Gloria the Hippo and Melman the Giraffe) go on a rescue mission. Their journey goes comically wrong, and they soon wash up on the exotic island of Madagascar, where they meet King Julien and a tribe of lively lemurs.
