Embark on a two-day escapade into the enchanting world of Fiber Clay and gourds. Imagine a space where your hands shape laughter and personality out of the humble gourd, transforming it into a character that’s as quirky and endearing as your imagination allows. This is not just a class; it’s a creative journey where your gourd becomes the backbone for something magical.

We’ll dive into a treasure trove of texturing techniques, armed with clay tools that are just itching to etch out your vision. Under your fingers, watch as your creation sprouts personality and charm, with textures that tickle the fancy and colors that capture the soul. From sealing to painting, each brushstroke will add life to your character, and when it comes to finishes, we’ve got the perfect sheen to make your creation shine.

And what’s a whimsical character without a little sparkle? Embellishments await to adorn your piece, the final flirtatious wink to your artistic muse. All materials are on us, so you can focus on the fun without fretting the details.

Don’t forget to dress for a date with creativity; things will get messy as we mold, paint, and play.

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Having lived in the Southwest United States for over 35 years, I have long enjoyed experimenting with a wide range of desert materials in my work shop.  From gourds to desert clay, I’ve found ways to turn these materials into beautiful and even whimsical canvases and I’ve enjoyed ever part of it.

For years, my son and husband have seen me create artwork that has made them proud and finally after all of their encouragement and rave reviews from many satisfied customers, I’ve decided to harness this passion and my talent to bring my art to a wider audience.  I hope you enjoy my collections and that you see a little bit of me in every piece. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. Member of the Sonoran Art League, AZGS/Arizona Gourd Society, AGS/American Gourd Society, West Brook Fine Arts, Arizona Art Alliance Gallery, and the Gourd Gypsies Patch.
