Come create a cheerful holiday plate. Students will have the choice of completing a Christmas plate or a New Years eve plate. Using precut designs, glass pebbles, stringers or frit the student can make a unique plate for the Holidays. Class will be 2-3 hours. The completed plate will be taken to the kiln and fired then slumped into a plate mold. Project should be ready for pick up at the Holland Center 7-10 days after class.

INSTRUCTOR BIO:
Kathy Nelson spent most of her life on the West Coast. She enjoys working with students and has developed multiple classes to help others appreciate the world of glass. She especially like the durability of Egyptian class, and it amazes her that something so fragile could exist for millennia. Fused glass is her current focus, as the play of light remains a fascination.
