FORMAT: In-person classroom
INSTRUCTION METHOD: Hands-on
AGES: Adults 16+
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner
PREREQUISITES: None
WHAT TO BRING: Feel free to bring a pen and paper for notes and a closed water bottle. Please enjoy snacks before or after class to keep our space clean and focused on play!
FEE: $90.00 – The 2026 card is not included in the class fee. Cards may be purchased separately through the NMJL or directly from the instructor for $15.00 on the first day of class. All other game materials provided.

With a background in education, Katie makes Mahjong’s patterns and strategies easy to understand through approachable, engaging lessons. Her goal is to create a welcoming space where players of all experience levels can build confidence and enjoy the game through learning and social play. She is a current member of the Mahj Life Instructor Guild.
