FORMAT: In-Person – Classroom
INSTRUCTION METHOD: Hands-On
AGES: Adults 18+
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Novice, Intermediate, Expert
WHAT TO BRING: Wear old clothes or an apron. Instructor provides drills to share. But you can bring a Dremel drill or carver if you have one and any of the following drill bit sizes: 1/16 1/8”, 5/32”, 5/64”3/16”, 3/32” 7/64”and 1/4”. Shank size 1/8 inch. Class is held outdoors, so dress accordingly. If you have breathing issues you may want to wear a respirator. Teacher supplies a basic mask. Bring lunch, drink, or a snack.

INSTRUCTOR NAME: Dar Saucedo
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Dar’s lived in the Southwest United States for over 35 years and has experimented with a wide range of desert materials in her workshop.  From gourds to desert clay, she helps students turn these materials into beautiful and even whimsical canvases and gourd art. She enjoys helping students learn how to express their creativity using the dyes, paints, and the desert’s natural materials. Dar is a member of the Sonoran Art League, AZGS/Arizona Gourd Society, AGS/American Gourd Society, West Brook Fine Arts, Arizona Art Alliance Gallery, and the Gourd Gypsies Patch.
