Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, pastels offer rich, luminous color with no drying time—making creativity immediate, expressive, and exciting.

FORMAT: In-Person Classroom
INSTRUCTION METHOD: Hands-On Workshop
AGES: Adults 18+
  • Apron or old clothes (pastels are dusty)
  • Wet wipes for your hands
  • Viva Paper towels
  • Small and large hard cheap brushes
  • Pencil or charcoal to draw
  • Optional: latex gloves or finger cots
  • Optional: your own pastels, if you have some
INSTRUCTOR: Beverly Carlson-Bradshaw

Beverly began drawing from a young age while growing up in Montana on a farm. She then moved to Seattle, WA and had her own interior design firm for 20+ years. She still works part-time in interior design but now has made her pastel paintings a priority. Beverly is self-taught, has taken workshops from notable pastel artists, and has won awards in juried shows. Her artwork is currently on display at The Finer Arts Gallery in Cave Creek, AZ.
