Over the past 225 years the American body politic has aligned by ideologies that formed political parties.  In spite of George Washington’s cautioning on the dangers of factionalism, groups of people with similar political agendas have coalesced to promote various ideologies.  From the drafting of the US Constitution to current times political parties have largely ruled national doctrine. Historically new parties have burst onto the national scene when political turmoil divided the populous.  2024 may be one of those times.  We will examine the history of political parties and assess the status of today’s pollical parties.
