The day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, learn about the Presidency of  Andrew Jackson. The two are said to have been quite similar in behavior and actions. Jackson was one of American’s most highly regarded, yet controversial presidents. He was the first to be called a “populous president”. Learn how he received this title. Jim will highlight the social-political times, circumstances and actions of the 7th President in 1828, and then compare them to today’s times and current President.

At The Holland Center, Jim is a former board chair, serves as development leader of the Desert Foothills Leadership Academy, and leads the Americana Lecture Series.
