
In just 4 sessions, feel confident speaking and understanding basic sentences and phrases in Spanish with friends, neighbors, co-workers, and home services workers. This will be a fun and interactive class. No prior Spanish knowledge required.
Start with the most useful words like the alphabet, numbers, colors, household objects, and family members. Learn helpful greetings, common phrases/expressions, and simple conversations for everyday activities like shopping, wellness, and daily routines. Some Spanish-only conversations will be facilitated to help students retain the level of language they have acquired from previous classes.
You can also receive individualized support from the teacher in-between classes via two (2) one-on-one 30-minute Zoom calls and/or via email during the 4-session course (If the student is not familiar with Zoom, WhatsApp video calls or regular phone calls are available).

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Yanette Tift has over 23 years of national and international language experience from translating and interpreting in the mining & engineering industry in Chile, to diving deep into the educational field in the United States at the secondary and higher education levels. Living and working abroad (Chile, Brazil, and Australia) has equipped Yanette with cultural sensitivity and knowledge for helping others where there is a language need. Her professional services in the education and business sectors follow strict adherence to the National Education Association (NEA) Code of Ethics for the Education Profession, and the American Translators Association (ATA) Code of Ethics.
