Explore the art of fused glass. Students in this class will complete a beautiful holiday candle curve. Project will be fused and slumped and ready to pick up approximately one week after the class. Using holly leaves, pebbles of glass, frit (ground glass) and other glass items the student will personalize the curve. To make a keepsake for the future.
You will work on your piece in class, then Kathy will take it home and fire it. You can pick it up the following week.
Kathy Nelson spent most of her life on the West Coast. She enjoys working with students and has developed multiple classes to help others appreciate the world of glass. She especially like the durability of Egyptian class, and it amazes her that something so fragile could exist for millennia. Fused glass is her current focus, as the play of light remains a fascination.
