Join us for an informative and visually rich presentation as Thomas McGuire traces Cave Creek from its source in Yavapai County, 30 miles north of the Town of Cave Creek, all the way to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
Thomas will take you through 150 slides, bringing to life the physical, hydrological, and cultural story of the creek. This is an opportunity to enjoy a unique look at a waterway connected to the landscape, history, and sense of place that make Cave Creek distinctive.

Presenter: Thomas McGuire
Thomas McGuire has been a resident and active Cave Creek community member since 2000. Tom holds degrees in geology and geology education from the University of Rochester and the State University of New York, and is an award-winning New York science educator and author of five books on Earth science. His community service includes volunteer scientific work at the Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, where he also leads monthly public hikes and he is a docent at the Cave Creek Museum.
