Create unique gift bags in this all materials included class. Using the art and beauty of color, recycling and collage, we will journey through the process of taking ordinary deli bags, found objects, fabric, lace, paper, sari silk, yarn and other items, turning then into beautiful pieces of collage art which can be: framed for a desk or hung on a wall, used for gift-giving, used to house a special journal or a book, function as a shelf decoration, given as a hostess gift, or to use as memory keepsake holders for photos or letters. Students will create four decorated deli bags to keep.
A variety of textures, colors and themes are common in the art Lynn creates. Her experience in the art of collage using deli bags and found objects will be passed onto you in this course.
Each student receives four deli bags- some coffee-dyed prior for an additional layered effect. Under Lynn’s guidance, she will walk participants through the process of turning them into unique, one-of-a-kind, lovely, useful and functional pieces of art. When complete, each deli bag will be different and reflect the student’s individual artistic flair.
