We will be using a gourd as the armature (the structure that is molded with fiber clay) to create a whimsical bird. All materials will be supplied. Darlene will instruct, guide, and encourage you throughout the process of molding and decorating your bird. She will share texturing and finishing tips. This is a two day class as it takes eight hours or more for the clay to dry. Day one will consist of putting the bird together, creating texture, adding wings and feet legs whatever your imagination wishes. Day two will consist of sealing with several different materials. Then painting, adding eyes feathers, whatever you wish to bring your bird to life.
