This Month: FBI Citizens Academy “Sneak Peek” | Speaker: FBI ASAC Phil Bates
The FBI leads the federal government’s continued efforts to combat terrorism and targeted violence
while upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans. ASAC Bates will review the current threat
environment including how partnerships in the community are key to successful intelligence gathering,
investigation and disruption of these threats.
Did you know that the FBI Phoenix Division is the first city to start the FBI Citizens Academy in 1993? The
FBI created this to increase community outreach by teaching business, community and spiritual leaders
in Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff how they protect and serve our citizens. This “sneak peek” of just one
of many different topics you can learn about in the 7 weeks of classes. Find out about the application
process from Agents and Staff who will be present to answer questions.
