Join artist, Darlene Saucedo, as she teaches the skills to create a beautiful Gourd Luminary. With the lights off and the lamp on, transform any room into a desert sky full of stars! They make terrific night lights and are especially fun for children’s rooms, providing a magical experience.

This class will be either on the front patio of The Holland Center  or it will be in the Mesquite Art Studio.

Class cost is $125 and includes all supplies.

The following items will be supplied for the class: one small / medium sized Cannon Ball Gourd cut cleaned and project ready, one lamp base, and electrical cord. Available tools include: drill bits, mask, gloves, paints, tape, stain for bases or black spray paint, and pictures of patterns you can use or create your own.

This is an all day class, which will go from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Please wear old clothes and bring lunch or snack and something to drink. And bring your imagination to make this one-of-a-kind, amazing work of art!

Darlene is also doing another Gourd Luminary class at the end of this month: Friday, Oct. 28, from 9:00 – 3:00.
