Arizona’s history lacks the grandeur of the early Colonies, the excitement of the Wild West, or the traditions of the Deep South. However, it has some interesting characters that made the territory, and eventually the state of Arizona, what it is. We will examine the life and impact of four 19th century Arizonans that made significant contributions to the state’s history.
Jim Sherbert’s 30-year career spans a wide range of consumer and commercial manufacturing categories with both domestic and international responsibilities. He has a passion for history and the broad scope of events and people who make America unique among nations. At The Holland Center, Jim is a former board chair, serves as development leader of the Desert Foothills Leadership Academy, and leads the Americana Lecture Series.
