This Month: Human Trafficking | Speakers: SSA Mary Gleason, Victim Specialist Sarah Lynne Vasquez
Human trafficking is the illegal exploitation of a person. Anyone can be a victim of human trafficking,
and it can occur in any U.S. community—cities, suburbs, and even rural areas. The FBI works human
trafficking cases under its Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking program. We take a trauma
informed, victim-centered approach in investigating these cases. The FBI investigates:
Sex trafficking, Labor trafficking, and Domestic servitude The most effective way to investigate human
trafficking is through a collaborative, multi-agency approach with our federal, state, local, and tribal
partners. Hear from a panel of subject matter experts who will break down human trafficking and what
the FBI specifically investigates, as well as learn what to look out for, and what resources are available
for victims and/or bystanders. This kicks off our raising community awareness on human trafficking.

Registration is required (below) and seating is limited. $10 donation appreciated at the door.
