Listening is the often the first step in learning to communicate better in a face-to-face setting. In this class, you’ll learn the styles of listening, active listening skills, key reasons we listen, ineffective listening, and phubbing. Bring your notepad because you’ll want to write this down to reference later as you improve your listening.

Your Instructor
Vicki Hanley brings 15 years of experience teaching communication in the Phoenix area. She has her Master’s Degree in Communication Studies from ASU with an emphasis in family communication. As a family meeting coach, Vicki has inspired people in different organizations and groups in the valley to improve their communication with the direct result of improving relationships. Vicki has an outgoing, sympathetic, and perceptive personality that creates an authentic connection with people of all ages. As an expert, Vicki is passionate about sharing her knowledge to create “ah-ha” moments in a learning environment.
