The United States is by definition a Constitutional Republic, which is a form of government that places power in the hands of the individual citizen not the majority of the public or its representatives.  The critical element that differentiates a Republic from a Democracy is the inalienable rights of the individual citizen vs. will of the majority.  Citizens of both are represented by elected officials.  We will examine various alternative forms of government and the challenges facing today’s American Republic.

This very appropriate topic for the time, will be presented on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 4:00 – 5:30.

$10 suggested donation at the door.
