Harmony Hollow, in Cave Creek, is a triangular piece of land that reaches the boundaries of Spur Cross Ranch.  It is 28 acres of desert, wildlife, and history. Much like Spur Cross Ranch, the land contains Native American Pit Houses, Pueblos, and ruins from long ago when the land was home to the Hohokam. “The whole thing is full of archaeology” says Gary Smitt, former president and founder of the Friends of Spur Cross coalition. Smitt said he intends on pushing for preservation of Harmony Hollow – just as he did with Spur Cross Ranch.

From its earliest indigenous inhabitants, to the miners, ranchers and artists who lived there, Harmony Hollow inspires and captures the imagination of everyone who sets foot there.  In 2021, local residents, Steve and Lori Greenberg, acquired the property to conserve it and began the Odyssey of a lifetime. Their presentation will illustrate the unexpected journey of conservation and renovation that brought them to the intriguing people, history, and possible future, of Cave Creek, Arizona.
