As a kickoff to Jim Sherbert’s series The Western Frontier (1820’s – 1840’s), Jim has chosen to start with Westward Migration and the Oregon Trail. From Lewis and Clark to the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, Jim will provide details of the harrowing journey by wagon from Independence, Missouri to Portland, Oregon, a distance of 2100 miles!
