How famed Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman was remembered, for better and for worse - Click Americana

Most are familiar with Union General Sherman’s “march to the sea” during the Civil War, which changed the tactics of warfare for the next 100 years.  But few are familiar with the man who’s unique discipline, strength of character and commitment to what he believed was right.  His career is certainly capped by military distinction but it also included banking in San Francisco, writing a portion of the California State Constitution and being the original chancellor of Louisiana State University.  Great people are often borne of challenging times, Sherman was one of those meetings of opportunity and skill.

Tuesday, June 20th at 4:00. $10 donation at the door.
