Learn the essential ten concepts that form the foundation for high quality photographs. Professional photographer Dan Watts created “The Ten Commandments of Smartphone Photography” in order to help beginner to intermediate photographers take better pictures by learning and improving basic photography principles.
Each commandment is part of a staircase that elevates understanding, expertise and confidence. During this four week class, students have the opportunity to work side by side with a professional photographer who has over 35 years experience in the world of print, online and multi-media photographic advertising.

Dan Watts
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Dan’s path to photography began at the University of Nebraska, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1975. He later moved to Arizona and founded Nextworld Media to provide photography and print advertising to construction companies, architects, entrepreneurs and non-profits. He worked for Arizona Business Magazine where he expanded his practice to include video and web design. Dan founded Az Smartphone Photography where he teaches on-location workshops, mentoring beginning and professional photographers, through his classes in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area.
