As the future of the Colorado River hangs in the balance, Arizona faces critical questions about water supply and sustainability. Learn how history, policy, and changing conditions are shaping the future of one of the Southwest’s most pressing concerns: water.

The contract between the seven Western States that governs the allocation of water to the Upper and Lower Basins of the Colorado River expires this year. Decades of draught, as well as faulty assumptions and decision making – many of which are over 100 years old – have nearly drained the reservoirs of Lake Mead and Lake Powell. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how changing conditions are influencing water management across the region and why these issues matter to communities, economies, and the future of Arizona. B thoughtful look at one of the Southwest’s most pressing concerns.
