The Santa Fe Trail. Santa Fe, New Mexico houses the oldest continuously operated buildings in the United States. Santa Fe was the western terminus of the Santa Fe Trail, and the only significant land route that linked Mexico with the United States. We will explore its foundation and evolution from its establishment until its obsoletion five decades later.
