INSTRUCTOR: Courtney Snyder, MS, ACNP has over 22 years of experience as a nurse and 19 years as a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Science from University of Maryland. Courtney began her career as an oncology ICU nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital and continued there as a Nurse Practitioner in plastic and reconstructive surgery, working primarily with breast cancer patients. After relocating to Arizona, she practiced in gynecologic oncology and spent much of her career in oncology clinical trials, working with novel and innovative therapies for patients with advanced and rare cancers. She has also worked extensively in pancreatic cancer early detection and prevention programs for first responders. Most recently, Courtney practiced in gastroenterology, expanding her expertise in a wide range of complex and chronic medical conditions. Courtney had presented at national conferences and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. She now brings her clinical expertise and compassion to patient advocacy, helping patients and their families better understand their medical care, participate confidently in healthcare decisions, and navigate the complexities of the healthcare system.
