In four (4) classes, Sandi Carll from our Signature Program, Desert Foothills Theater (DFT), will host an engaging and lively improv class. Participants will actively participate in fun and easy improv games designed to improve cognitive ability, foster brain health, and broaden creative expression. The class uses improv principles to practice creativity, engagement, and connection to others.
Low stress, accessible, very funny, and never embarrassing, Sandi’s teaching approach fosters a high-spirited and supportive environment and encourages self-expression, laughter, social engagement, and a sense of accomplishment. No prior knowledge of improv necessary, and no end-of-session performance to worry about!
All class activities can be adapted for low mobility or seated play.

Sandi Carll has served as DFT’s Producing Artistic Director and Managing Director for the last four years. She has directed multiple award-winning productions at theaters across the greater Phoenix area and has a special interest in teaching and performing Improv. Sandi currently hosts an annual “Improv for Business Leaders class” as part of Desert Foothills Leadership Academy, as well as organizes the popular “Unscripted Project”—an annual live Improv showcase event.
