Do you volunteer here at The Holland Center or at another non-profit here in the Desert Foothills? This interactive and educational session is designed specifically to help volunteers recognize when a senior may be struggling and understand how they can provide support.

You will leave knowing how to:
• Spot the signs that a senior is struggling
• Respond to someone with dementia without overwhelming them
• Recognize an overdose and act
• Understand opioid risks in our community and where to turn for help

Whatever you volunteer for, you meet seniors. This gives you something practical to do about it. What You’ll Experience
• Meet other volunteers who are learning how to be better volunteer people in this community.
• Stephanie Siete will give you clarity on drug and mental awareness.
• Be recognized by yours and all the non-profits as being trained in Senior Drug, Alcohol and Mental Awareness.
